Calling Hybrid & Alternative
Fueled Vehicles
For Green Grand Prix In Watkins Glen
2007 GREEN GRAND PRIX
July 6, 2007
This year’s Green Grand Prix will again be hosted by The
International Motor Racing Research Center in Watkins Glen, NY
www.racingarchives.org, the Glen Region of the Sports Car Club
of America
www.glen-scca.org/index.htm and the Seneca Lake Pure Waters
Association
www.senecalake.org.. Our event is unique as it's the ONLY
official SCCA Time-Speed-Distance Road Rally for alternate fueled
vehicles and hybrids in the United States. The Green Grand Prix is
also an educational event, where the public is invited to learn more
about alternative personal transportation. It is held each year in
the heart of the scenic Finger Lakes Region at Watkins Glen, the
home of American road racing. This will be our third annual event
and it promises to be even bigger than last year with the addition
of a University Challenge and Stanley Steamer participation. Rally
awards will be presented in many categories. Our themes are: Energy
Independence and Cleaner Vehicle Emissions. Proceeds from the
Green Grand Prix are donated to the Seneca Lake Pure Waters
Association.

The Green Grand Prix will be held on the day preceding the Watkins

Seneca Lake Pure Waters Association. This year the IRL cars are
burning 100% ethanol, so we are delighted that both events promote
environmental responsibility. We are contacting regional and
national media in hopes that they will cover this unique event. Last
year 3 television stations covered the Green Grand Prix as well as
Autoweek magazine.
